A prewar vineyard in Yokoshibahikari, now run by its fourth generation, keeps pesticide and herbicide use to a minimum.
Saito Vineyard is a long-established grape grower in Yokoshibahikari dating to around 1930, before the war, and now run by its fourth generation. Farming with minimal pesticide and herbicide use, it makes wine that draws on Chiba's fruit character, working with Delaware and Yamabudo (Japan's wild mountain grape).
