A former Tokyo wine importer, Takashi Ohno moved to Niki after training in Beaujolais and began full winemaking at Domaine Marumegane in the fall of 2023.
Domaine Marumegane was founded by Takashi Ohno, a former wine importer from Tokyo who trained in Beaujolais before settling in Niki. He began growing grapes in 2018, moved to Niki in 2019, and acquired vineyard land in neighboring Yoichi, beginning full-scale winemaking in the fall of 2023.
