Kazuyuki and Yukiko Nakazawa broke ground on a 2.7-hectare vineyard in Iwamizawa in 2002, whole-cluster pressed and wild-yeast fermented into Kurisawa Blanc.
In 2002, Kazuyuki and Yukiko Nakazawa took up farming and cleared roughly 2.7 hectares of dedicated wine-grape vineyard in Iwamizawa's former Kurisawa-cho. From 2002 to 2012 their grapes were vinified under contract at Coco Farm, and from 2013 at 10R Winery; since 2017 they have brewed at Kurisawa Wines, a brewery they co-founded. Their method presses grapes whole-cluster and ferments with wild yeast.
