Nitori Fruit Orchard in Yoichi began growing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in 2022, opening its own winery in 2025 after years of contract brewing.
Nitori Fruit Orchard, a pick-your-own tourist orchard in Yoichi, began growing wine grapes such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in 2022. Until then, its grapes went to contract brewing at other wineries — producing about 370 bottles of white wine in 2023, then roughly 1,800 bottles of white, red and rose in 2024. In April 2025 the orchard obtained a fruit-wine manufacturing license, and from that autumn began brewing under its own label as Nitori Winery, targeting about 3,000 bottles in its first year.
