Along the Yoichi River in Niki, husband and wife Masamitsu and Ayako Suzuki farm organically for wine that evokes Hokkaido's land itself.
North Creek Farm was started in April 2020 by Masamitsu and Ayako Suzuki, who began growing wine grapes along the Yoichi River in Niki. The couple farms roughly 2.3 hectares and about 4,000 vines — Pinot Noir, Gewürztraminer, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Pinot Gris, Kerner and Chardonnay — organically, without herbicides, and ferments with wild yeast in pursuit of 'wine that brings Hokkaido's land to mind.' The winery obtained its brewing license in August 2024.
