From a converted barn in Yoichi, a Takahiko-trained grower makes table wine for ordinary evenings.
Yamadado set up in 2021 in a farm barn converted into a winery, with 2.3 hectares of vines in Yoichi. Its founder trained at Domaine Takahiko, Japan's most influential natural-wine estate, and carries that sensibility toward a humbler goal: table wine that never upstages the food, yet has enough personality to brighten a daily meal. The plantings center on Pinot Noir, Müller-Thurgau and Niagara, released as reds, rosé and a Niagara sparkling.
