Founded in 2021, KOTO Wine Morioka takes its name from the initials of four districts in southeastern Morioka — Kurokawa, Otobe, Teshiromori and Ogao. Born from a local business network aiming to contribute to the community, it connects agriculture and welfare, working with people with disabilities to make wine, and grows grapes on disused apple orchards and pastureland.
