Sakura Farms Winery opened in 2020 within an orchard overlooking the Kirishima mountain range, becoming Kagoshima Prefecture's first winery. Across a 42,000-square-meter estate it grows more than 35 grape varieties and over 2,000 vines, producing red, white (sweet and dry) and rosé wines from Kirishima-grown fruit.
