Yokohama Winery, founded in September 2016 near Yamashita Pier, is Yokohama's first craft winery. It bills itself as Japan's smallest winery and the one closest to the sea, making natural 'hama wine' with an emphasis on wild-yeast fermentation and no filtration. The winery opened its own vineyard within Yokohama city in 2019.
