Chateau Mercian Kikyogahara Winery occupies a historic building constructed in 1938, in Kikyogahara, the birthplace of the internationally acclaimed Kikyogahara Merlot. It's a small winery devoted to high-quality winemaking, at the source of what is considered Japan's leading Merlot terroir. Visitors can see a miniature vineyard, reception area, and barrel cellar.
