In Iida's Kiribayashi hills, Clos de Tenryu opened in 2022 with four licenses at once, debuting an orange wine of 100% Nagano Koshu.
Clos de Tenryu Chateau Kiribayashi opened in March 2022 in Kiribayashi, Iida, after simultaneously obtaining a wine brewing license, a brandy distillation license, a liqueur manufacturing license and a liquor sales license. Its debut wine, Asayake, is an orange wine made from 100% Nagano-grown Koshu (Japan's indigenous white grape). The estate also grows Pinot Noir, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Viognier.
