Deux Montagnes — French for 'two mountains' — is a joint cellar founded in September 2023 by two winemakers, one farming at the foot of Mt. Tateshina and the other below Mt. Asama in Komoro. Each vinifies the fruit of their own vineyard separately on shared equipment, so the two terroirs of the cool, sun-rich Chikuma River wine valley can be tasted side by side under the Abbey's Vines and MC's Vines labels. Grapes range from Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris to Chardonnay and Riesling. Public visiting arrangements are not published; check with the winery before traveling.
