Funky Chateau, founded in 2011 in Aoki, Nagano, aims to make wine that carries a message from nature, wine that is enjoyable to drink and brings a sense of richness to the spirit. The winery sorts fruit carefully and ferments naturally, bottling unfiltered and unfined, keeping human intervention and additives to a minimum. It runs two lines: a négociant line from purchased grapes and a domaine line from its own vineyards.
