On a hillside with its own chapel and restaurant, Saint Cousair is building toward a vineyard still beautiful a hundred years from now.
Saint Cousair sits on a gentle vineyard hill in Iizuna, Nagano, where a winery, restaurant and small chapel share the grounds. The Kuze family who own it moved from running a pension to a jam workshop before turning to winemaking, inspired by the French countryside and working toward a vineyard that will still be beautiful in a hundred years. Alongside wine, the company also makes jam, dressings and other foods. Visitors can join a free 15-minute factory tour or book a paid vineyard walk.
