Apple growers and grape growers joined forces at 720 meters — cidre and wine for everyday Nagano tables.
VinVie began in 2018 when apple farmers and grape farmers in Matsukawa teamed up to make cidre, high on a 720-meter hill beneath the Southern Alps in the Tenryu River wine valley. The goal is unpretentious: wine and cidre that belong in ordinary daily life. The estate grows an eclectic mix — Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc, Petit Manseng, Ryugan and Niagara among them — and holds GI Nagano certification along with Nagano's NAC seal for its cidre. The winery opens on weekends and holidays, with free visits, a paid tour and inexpensive tastings.
