Founded by a Cave d'Occi-trained winemaker, Fermier turns Albariño and the terroir of sea and sand into distinctly Niigata wine.
Fermier is a small winery in Echizenhama, Niigata, founded in 2006 by Takashi Honda after training at Cave d'Occi. Built around the idea of wines shaped by the terroir of sea and sand, it uses Albariño and other grapes to pursue the refreshing character distinctive to Niigata wine, alongside an attached French restaurant.
