Wakayama Winery, founded in 2015, is Wakayama Prefecture's first winery. It grows European varieties — including Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc — across roughly one hectare of its own vineyards in Aridagawa and Arida, farmed with reduced pesticide use, and bottles its wine fermented with natural yeast, unfiltered and unheated.
