A fashion house’s winery since 1979, Chateau Jun freezes Koshu grapes for a rare cryoextraction dessert wine, honest to the fruit.
Chateau Jun was established in 1979 as the winery of the JUN fashion group, under the concept of wine that stays honest to the grape. It is one of the few Japanese producers making a Koshu (Japan’s indigenous white grape) dessert wine by cryoextraction, or freeze concentration, alongside dry barrel-aged Koshu, Chardonnay and Merlot from its own vineyards. The winery’s corporate philosophy, ‘You Are Culture,’ frames wine as a way to enrich everyday life. Its wines have won a trophy and gold medal at the Japan Wine Challenge 2025, along with a Sakura Award.
