At the foot of Yatsugatake, Domaine Passerelle grows JAS-certified organic vines under a 'clean natural,' regenerative farming philosophy.
Domaine Passerelle is run by Yatsugatake Organic Vineyard Co., which incorporated in 2020 and brought its winery on line in 2022 in Oizumi, Hokuto. The estate holds JAS organic certification and follows natural-farming methods under a 'Clean Natural' policy centered on regenerative agriculture. Winemaking and viticulture are led by Yuichiro Takahashi. Chardonnay leads a diverse planting that also includes Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Gris, Chenin Blanc, Petit Manseng, Albariño and Gewürztraminer. The winery is not currently open to visitors while it builds out its operations, and its wines are sold only through partner retailers rather than online or direct sales.
