Fujiclair Winery — its name blending Fuji with the French clair, "clear" — describes itself as a clear, straightforward house. It is committed to making wine that suits Japanese cuisine and holds its own on the world stage. Based on the Kyototogawa alluvial fan southeast of the Koshu basin in Katsunuma, the winery draws grapes from across Yamanashi and crafts them with care. It maintains two vineyards in Hokuto — Akeno and Mukawa — and welcomes visitors to a tasting area, wine shop, and its 'Life and Wine Market.'
