Yatsugatake Grand Vert Vineyard

Yatsugatake Grand Vert Vineyard held its grand opening in September 2024 on a roughly 15-hectare site at about 950 meters on the slopes of Yatsugatake in Kobuchizawa, Hokuto, growing Chardonnay, Koshu (Japan's indigenous white grape), Riesling and other varieties. A winery, shop and observation deck sit at the center of the vineyard, where visitors can taste wine against a backdrop of Yatsugatake and Mt. Fuji.
