The founding home of Manns Wines — cellar tours and some twenty wines to taste in the heart of Katsunuma.
Manns Wines opened its first winery here in Katsunuma in 1962, and the site remains the company's spiritual home. Part of the Kikkoman group, the house builds its range around Japan's own grapes — Koshu and Muscat Bailey A — with international competition awards to show for it. Visitors are well looked after: winery tours take in the underground cellar and a film on the winemaking, and a standing tasting counter pours around twenty wines. The winery is open year-round outside the New Year holidays.
