Rooted in the region since 1960, Mars Yamanashi Winery continues Yamanashi's role as the birthplace of Japanese wine after more than 60 years of winemaking.
Mars Yamanashi Winery, founded in 1960 in Fuefuki, is a facility where visitors can see winemaking rooted in the region and its resources. It continues more than 60 years of winemaking in Yamanashi, the birthplace of Japanese wine. Grapes are sourced from five terroirs — Hozaka, Shirane, Isawa, Misaka, and Makioka — and the winery holds a cold-storage cellar for around 300,000 bottles.
