Nikkawa Winery, founded in 2020, aims to make grape growers and winemakers visible to drinkers through close ties with contract farmers.
Nikkawa Winery, a new winery founded in 2020 in Katsunuma, Koshu, aims to be a place where the faces of both grower and winemaker are visible, built on close relationships with its contract growers. Under GI Yamanashi (Geographical Indication), it makes a dry Koshu — Japan's indigenous white grape — alongside a dry red from the Bijou Noir grape.
