Rakuen Vineyard

Rakuen Vineyard was founded in 1940 in Ichikawamisato, and remains the town's only family-run winery. Grapes come from roughly 1,200 tsubo (about 0.4 hectares) of the family's own vineyard plus fruit from neighboring farms, vinified in small batches for a natural style. Its flagship label, Albatross, is known for the rich, mellow character that comes from careful small-lot production.
