San Foods is a general beverage and seasoning maker founded in 1976. Its Nirasaki factory obtained a fruit-wine manufacturing license in 2008 and now produces the 'Nirasaki Wine' series entirely from grapes grown in the city's Hosaka district. The line has picked up multiple honors at the Japan Wine Competition and the Sakura Award, alongside the company's broader work in whisky and shochu.
