Yatsushiro Jozo works under the philosophy that good wine comes from good grapes, and is the only winery designated under Yamanashi Prefecture's Specialty Village Promotion Project. Its own farm practices organic, natural farming, and the winery uses only grapes grown locally in Yatsushiro-cho, Fuefuki. Selling direct from the brewery keeps prices low.
