Tamba Wine, founded in 1979 as Kyoto's first winery, set out to permanently produce wine that carries forward part of the city's historic food culture — modest and simple, yet rich in warmth and joy, and unlike any other in the world. The winery grows more than fifty grape varieties and operates the attached restaurant du Tamba.
